Given society’s ever increasing concern about climate change, at Plasticos Inden we have decided to go one step further with its commitment to the environment. Dated March 29th, we received the “Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification Statement” for the activity period of 2019.
The Carbon Footprint Certificate consists of the voluntary application of several regulations to quantify, reduce and neutralize greenhouse gas emissions.
The more enterprises adhere to the compliance of these regulations which accredit the Carbon Footprint Certification, the larger the network within the economic fabric that develops its activities with a reduced generation of carbon dioxide and therefore the greater the positive outcomes for the climate. That is a fact from which we all benefit.
With this initiative, at Inden we have quantified our impact on the environment in accordance to the GHG PROTOCOL. With this greenhouse gas emissions inventory, we can identify different opportunities to reduce the emission associated to our processes.
It is only by knowing the real impact of our activity that we can reduce it and with this tool, we strengthen our commitment to continuously improve, not just in regards to our products and clients, but also to the society and to the planet.
